The 1st University of Tsukuba Symposium on Industry-University Collaboration
The 1st University of Tsukuba Symposium on Industry-University Collaboration was held on March 15th at the University of Tsukuba Bunkyo Campus in Tokyo. The focus of the symposium is to share the broad, interdisciplinary research results coming out of University of Tsukuba, and aim to further expand collaboration with industry and society.
In the first part, University of Tsukuba President Kyosuke Nagata introduced the university’s initiatives on industry-university collaboration during a special lecture. In the second part, posters by 10 groups, such as research centers and industry-university collaboration organizations, were displayed.
The Rakuten Institute of Technology Future Merchant Design Lab joint research project, launched in January this year, also presented posters at the symposium. On the day, we could exchange opinions with visitors from a wide range of fields, from companies, universities, and local governments, and it was a very valuable opportunity to highlight research content and industry-university collaboration.
We look forward to attending many more symposiums in the future. For more information on the Future Merchant Design Lab and the symposium, see the links below.
