Rakuten Institute of Technology is honored to have the opportunity to sponsor International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI) 2018 which is held in Tsukuba, Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan from Sep 1st to 8th.

The IOI is one of the most prestigious computer science competitions in the world. Students (mainly high-school students) attend the contest and compete on an individual basis, with up to four students representing each participating country. Each year it attracts around 70 to 80 countries.

The contest aims to help computer programming and problem-solving of algorithmic nature, and to have students and teachers interact internationally. We are very happy to support this significant event where excellent students from all over the world will compete on the strength of computer science and cultivate friendship between each other.
