The 19th Conference of the Japan Society of Kansei Engineering was held at Tsukuba University’s Tokyo Campus from 11th to 13th September.

On the 3rd day, Rakuten Institute of Technology, together with Professor Yamanaka of Tsukuba University, held a session titled “Post 2020 E-Commerce and Kansei Engineering for Future Shopping” which included talks by nine researchers from eight different institutions. A Rakuten Research Award was presented to the most excellent presentation and the winner was Takahiro Yokoi of Nagasaki Institute of Applied Science for his talk on:
Use of psychological factors for increasing purchasing motivation through shopping experiences.
