Congratulations to Hiya Roy and Bjorn Stenger from Rakuten Institute of Technology on their paper’s acceptance at the British Machine Vision Conference (BMVC) 2024!
Their work, “Text Removal In E-Commerce Images: A Comparison Of Inpainting Methods,” provides a comprehensive review of inpainting and text removal algorithms for e-commerce. They demonstrate that Fourier convolution networks outperform recent methods in both speed and accuracy, marking the first extensive survey on inpainting for e-commerce applications.
