RIT San Mateo’s Scientists set to present their paper at Top Conference on Information Retrieval
After successful review, scientists Young-joo Chung and Ramin Raziperchikolaei of RIT San Mateo had their research accepted to the 44th International ACM SIGIR Conference on Research and Development in Information Retrieval. The conference is a top forum for the presentation of new research results in the broad area of informationa retrieval. Their research paper, “Neural Representations in Hybrid Recommender Systems: Prediction versus Regularization,” was accepted into the short track dedicated to signifcant novel works in progress. Their promising research defines the neural representation for prediction (NRP) framework and applies it to autoeconder-based recommendation systems. The results of their research confirm that these neural representations provide better performance and less training time than existing systems to predict ratings and help a user base explore new content, addressing one of the most challenging problems in Recommender systems. The conference is set to be held online July 11-15. Registration details have not yet been made public but please refer to the SIGIR website periodically for annoucements.
